Mercedes-Benz India reported its highest-ever quarterly sales, with 5,422 units sold in the third quarter of 2026. This represents a 5.92% increase from the same period last year, and a 17% increase from the previous quarter.
The company's January-September sales reached a record 15,190 units, exceeding the previous nine-month high by 5.64%. This reverses the decline seen in 2025, when sales had dropped 1.72%.
The Top-End Luxury portfolio, which includes models such as the S-Class and Mercedes-Maybach range, grew 13% during the nine-month period. The company's MANUFAKTUR programme accounted for approximately 75% of Top-End Luxury sales.
The Mercedes-AMG portfolio grew 18% during the same period, with the AMG G 63 recording its highest-ever monthly sales. The Core Luxury segment, which includes models such as the C-Class and E-Class, remained the company's largest sales contributor, accounting for approximately 60% of January-September volumes.
Mercedes-Benz India also saw growth in its battery-electric vehicle sales, which increased 16% during the nine-month period. The new CLA BEV has secured over 1,000 confirmed orders, with deliveries extending to March 2027.
Managing Director and CEO Santosh Iyer attributed the record results to the company's product mix, customer experience initiatives, and retail network development. The company will begin deliveries of the new electrified S-Class from mid-October.
Mercedes-Benz India will raise prices in January, citing a weak rupee and increased shipping costs. The company has also opened bookings for the GLC Electric, with deliveries expected to start soon.
