Elon Musk has rejoined the trillionaire ranks after SpaceX shares jumped past 5% to $167. This surge, combined with a 1% rise in Tesla stock, added $30.6 billion to Musk's net worth, according to Forbes.
Morgan Stanley analysts had previously flagged SpaceX shares as undervalued. The stock also received a boost from Starship's first successful trip to orbit the previous week.
Musk's fortune now exceeds Amazon founder Jeff Bezos' by more than $628 billion, with Bezos' estimated net worth at $371.5 billion. Musk first became a trillionaire in June when SpaceX debuted on the Nasdaq at $135 per share.
On Friday, Musk's fortune had already gained $61 billion after Tesla's third-quarter delivery figures exceeded analyst forecasts. Musk controls approximately 82.4% of voting power in SpaceX after the company's IPO.
SpaceX reported revenue of $18.67 billion in 2025, a 33% increase from the prior year. However, the company swung to a net loss of $4.94 billion from a profit of $791 million the year before.
Musk announced over the weekend that he would rename SpaceX's artificial intelligence subsidiary to align with President Donald Trump's push to rebrand the technology as 'super intelligence'.
By Monday morning, no official rebranding steps had been taken. The IPO itself set a record, with 555.6 million shares sold at $135 apiece to generate $75 billion in proceeds.
