Over 7,000 delegates gathered at the Baba Yara Stadium to fill nine categories of national positions. Justin Kodua Frimpong was re-elected as general secretary.
Boadu outpaced former Energy Minister Boakye Agyarko and former party president Paul Afoko. Sammy Crabbe withdrew from the race and urged his supporters to vote for John Boadu.
