D&D Meets World of Warcraft
A new book brings the World of Warcraft universe to Dungeons & Dragons, with 16 playable species and 60 new spells. The book, releasing on November 17th, will allow players to explore the continent of Azeroth and interact with famous characters from the game.

The upcoming Dungeons & Dragons: World of Warcraft book will not replicate the massively multiplayer online game's experience, according to principal designer James Wyatt. Instead, it will offer a unique tabletop experience with new art, playable species, and subclasses.
The book includes 16 playable species from World of Warcraft, with 11 new additions to Dungeons & Dragons, such as Dracthyr, Draenei, and Pandaren. It also features new playable subclasses, including the Oath of the Ebon Blade and Oath of the Holy Paladin subclasses.
Players will be able to explore the entire continent of Azeroth, including famous locations like Dire Maul, Scarlet Monastery, and Ragefire Chasm. The book will also include iconic characters from the game, such as Illidan, Arthas, and Sylvanas.
The design team aimed to create a toybox-like experience, allowing players to venture into dangerous territory and create their own adventures. The book will include information on major cities, residents, and dungeons, but no full adventure.
Senior game designer Joey Haeck said the team added side passages and corridors to dungeons like Deadmines and Blackfathom Deeps to allow for alternate paths and more entertaining gameplay.
The book will release on November 17th, offering a new way for fans to experience the World of Warcraft universe. James Wyatt said the power is in the players' hands, allowing them to create their own campaigns and stories.
The crossover is part of the Universes Beyond initiative, which has driven several Magic: The Gathering sets in recent years. This release is the first for Dungeons & Dragons, and it promises to be a massive expansion with plenty of content to explore.
