Jesse Hogan's trade to Collingwood on Monday sets him up to become just the fourth player this century to play for four AFL clubs. The Magpies agreed a trade for Hogan with Greater Western Sydney in exchange for pick 75.

Hogan has played 100 games in six seasons at the Giants, following stints at Melbourne and Fremantle earlier in his career. He will join Tom Hickey, Jacob Townsend, and Ben Hudson as members of the four-club club if he makes his debut for the Pies next season.

General Manager of List and Talent Strategy Justin Leppitsch said Hogan would be a valuable addition to the KGM Centre. Leppitsch noted Hogan's aerial presence inside forward-50 and his consistency as a goal-kicker make him a genuine threat.

Hogan arrives at the Pies with 409 goals to his name from his 190 outings. The 2024 Coleman Medallist is a challenge for any opposition defender, with his strong marking ability and accuracy in front of goals.

The 31-year-old has built a decorated AFL career, earning All-Australian selection in 2024 and finishing as his Club's leading goal kicker on four occasions. Hogan will line up in the black and white alongside his 2026 AFL Origin teammate Darcy Cameron.

The 2026 Continental Tyres AFL Trade Period opened on October 5 and will run through to October 14. Other confirmed trades include Lachie Neale joining Collingwood as an Unrestricted Free Agent and Zach Merrett being traded to Hawthorn.

Hogan's move to Collingwood is one of several significant trades in the AFL this season. The trade period will continue until October 14, with several other players expected to change clubs.
