IIMB Expands Bloomberg Access
IIM Bangalore began using the Bloomberg Terminal in 2005 and established a dedicated Bloomberg Finance Lab in 2015 to expand access across teaching, research and executive education. The lab has nine Bloomberg Terminals and supports over 800 students annually.
The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) has expanded its use of Bloomberg Terminals to provide students with access to professional financial data and analytics.
IIMB introduced its first Bloomberg Terminal in 2005 to support doctoral researchers, and as interest grew, the institute established a dedicated Bloomberg Finance Lab in 2015.
The Bloomberg Finance Lab has nine Bloomberg Terminals, supported by three Bloomberg Anywhere licenses, and is used by approximately 800 students each year.
Students in Corporate Finance use Bloomberg data, financial statements, and market information, and Bloomberg-based learning is extended through executive education and external workshops.
Over 1,000 participants have attended Bloomberg-based workshops and executive education programs over the past three years.
Prof. M Jayadev, Chairperson of the Centre for Capital Markets and Risk Management at IIMB, oversees the institute's use of Bloomberg Terminals.
The expansion of Bloomberg access has enabled more students to apply market information in coursework, research, and practical finance training.
