Oil Tanker Attack Injures 12
An oil tanker was hit by a projectile in the Strait of Hormuz, injuring 12 crew members, including 11 Indians. The incident has sparked condemnation from India, which has called for an immediate cessation of such attacks.

Eleven Indian crew members were injured on Tuesday after a Panama-flagged commercial vessel, MT On Peace, was hit by a projectile while transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
The vessel carried 19 crew members, including 17 Indian nationals. In total, 12 crew members sustained injuries in the strike, according to the Ministry of External Affairs.
The Ministry of External Affairs condemned the attack, saying that continuing incidents of attacks on shipping in the region remain a cause of deep concern for India.
The MEA said the sailors of the vessel were evacuated with the help of Omani authorities and are receiving medical treatment in Khasab, Oman.
Nearly 20 commercial ships, mostly tankers, have come under attack over the past month while sailing through the Hormuz choke point.
The MEA reiterated its call for an immediate cessation of such attacks in the interests of peace and stability in the region.
The targeting of commercial shipping, seafarers, and civilian infrastructure in the region must end, and navigation and commerce through international waterways must be restored at the earliest, the MEA said.
